5-AXIS, 3-AXIS, & MANUAL MILLING
In order to get every detail correct for your job, we have a variety of mills to put the finishing touches on your part. Our two 5-axis Hurco mills are able to do a number of complex milling operations, including but not limited to engraving or milling on a contour.
CUSTOM TIRE MOLD RINGS & parts
We’ve been manufacturing bead rings, PCI rings, clamp rings, pilot rings, rims, and bladder shaping units for over 60 years (so we’re pretty good at it), and with the exception of repeat orders, they’ve all been custom. Our processes include: engraving, stamping, threading, grooving, scalloping, venting, microventing, and drilling. With the latest version of BobCAD at our disposal, we’re able to transfer concepts from idea to finished product.
FLEX-ARM TAPPING
To help you get your product faster, we also have three high-precision Flex-Arm tapping arms at our disposal allowing us to give you precision threading at a reduced manufacturing time.
COMPLEX, LARGE, OFF-THE-ROAD TIRE RINGS
Unlike most part shops, we have equipment that allows us to work on jobs that are larger than usual. Our largest lathe is capable of turning a piece up to 70 inches. Our largest 3-axis mill has a workspace of 30x72x20.
Materials and coatings
Hard-coating, chroming, zinc-plated, and other platings and coatings are always an option: just ask. We’ll include the cost of plating and coating in your quote, and we always quote the grade of steel or aluminum required by our customers for a machined product to suit your production needs precisely.
SMALL or LARGE quantities
Whether your quantity is large or small, Clinton Machine can machine it for you. From as small as a few inches all the way up to 70 inches in diameter, machined rings are our bread and butter.
repairing and refurbishing parts
Sometimes, our customers want to repair existing parts instead of buying new. These parts might have undergone a design change, or maybe they’re just too worn to keep in production. We’re capable of welding and reworking a number of used parts to get them back into their listed tolerances. We strive to work together with our customers to find the best solution for them.
